Alan R. Beckenstein

     Alan R. Beckenstein is a professor of business administration at the University of Virginia's Darden School of Business, where he heads Darden’s Global Economies and Markets area.  His research and teaching address antitrust and regulation issues and global competition.  He serves as a consultant to government agencies and international corporations.

    Before joining the Darden faculty in 1972, Dr. Beckenstein worked as a research associate at The Brookings Institution, and as a management consultant.
